經集之現在形狀之集成，雖屬相當以後之時代的，但其內容之構成以至諸經，其淵源是甚為古舊，幾乎所有之經，想其原形有部份是部派分裂以前的。這乃以本集之各經各偈比較梵文及漢譯等之部派文獻就可知道。繼承姊崎博士或奧多福蘭克之絕大努力：(M.Anesaki, The sutta–Nipata in chinese JPTS. 1907:M.
